Mobilization Materials Crowdfunding Demonstration

In Gaza, entire families are still being wiped out by bombs, and civilians are being killed indiscriminately every single day — among them many children. Starving people search for help at the few Israeli-controlled distribution points, only to find death instead. Independent humanitarian aid and supplies are being blocked and prevented by Israel. Almost the entire population of the Gaza Strip is displaced.

The actions of the Israeli government have long been described by experts and international organizations as genocide, and are being investigated as such by the International Court of Justice. While everyone can see the mass atrocities being committed by the Israeli army in Gaza, the German government denies the systematic violence.

We want to end German complicity and take to the streets against the so-called Reason of State! We call on the German Federal Government and the Bundestag to:

  • End all military cooperation with Israel. This includes the import, export, and transit of weapons, ammunition, and other military goods.
  • Use all available means to secure unimpeded access for humanitarian aid in line with recognized humanitarian principles, as well as an immediate and permanent ceasefire for Gaza.
  • Work for an end to the decades-long displacement and the illegal occupation of Palestinian territory.
  • Support international jurisdiction without restrictions and fully implement its decisions.
  • Advocate for the release of all victims of war crimes who are illegally detained — thousands in Israeli prisons and dozens held hostage in Gaza.
  • Work towards the realization of the right to individual and collective self-determination and equality for Palestinians.
  • Protect the rights to freedom of expression, assembly, and academic freedom in Germany. End the repression of legitimate protests and free expression by the Palestine solidarity movement.

We condemn all war crimes and human rights violations, regardless of whether they are committed by Israeli or Palestinian actors. For us, international law and human rights apply always and to everyone. In view of the mass killings in Gaza and the systematic destruction, however, our main criticism is directed at the Israeli government and its supporters.

Notes for the Rally

We welcome it when political parties spread the word about the demonstration and our demands. But as an independent network, we ask that party flags stay in the background.

This demonstration is about the people in Gaza and Palestine, and about universal human rights. That’s why we don’t want national flags at the protest. The Palestinian flag, however, we recognize as a symbol of solidarity against the oppression and disenfranchisement of Palestinians. And because we also know about the ongoing, systematic criminalization and stigmatization of this flag, we won’t be making any rules about bringing it.

With the event, we want to create a space for peaceful protest that is free from discrimination and violence. We do not accept racist, anti-Palestinian, and/or antisemitic statements or actions.

On-Site Facilities: A first-aid tent is located on the south side of Straße des 17. Juni for medical assistance or advice. On the north side, accessible toilets—including wheelchair-friendly options—will be available. Please note that there are no shops or supermarkets nearby, so bring enough food and drinks.

Crowdfunding

We also appreciate financial support, so that our demands can be loud, visible, and impossible to ignore: to the crowdfunding.

Demonstration „Zusammen für Gaza“

A broad alliance has joined our call and, under the title „Zusammen für Gaza,“ is organizing a demonstration from Neptunbrunnen to our rally. You can find all information about the demonstration here: www.zusammen-fuer-gaza.de

The symbol of the eye on the rally poster and flyer represents our wish for the eyes of the world to be directed toward Gaza. It is a protective symbol, used in various cultural and religious contexts, and stands for awareness and solidarity.
